World Junior Ballooning Championship 2016

This year's World Junior Ballooning Championship took place in Lithuania, from June 29th till July 4th. It was the 3rd Championship and it was hosted by the city of Marijampole, where 36 crews from all over the world gathered for a ballooning battle. The weather was really good this year and the crews managed to fly 6 flights out of 8 scheduled. The Kubicek Balloons factory and the Czech Republich were represented by the youngest (17 yeras old) competitior on the grid, Ondrej Kostrhun. Ondrej took it very seriously and trained very hard for this race in order to be able to battle the best of the best - Dom Bareford and Rokas Kostiuskevicius.
Ondrej's team flying the Kubicek Xrteme Racer took the 7th place in the overall ranking, but only because of a PZ flight-through mistake... Without that Ondrej would stand on the box, that is for sure!
