One or Two Hoses?

Every burner unit comes in one of the two options:

  • One-hose system - the pilot flame is supplied by the liquid phase through a vaporisor. This is the standard burner throughout Europe and the USA.
  • Two-hoses system - with this option the pilot flame has its own hose to take vapour from the top of the fuel cylinder. It has the advantage that thick oily contaminants from the fuel, that could block the filters in a vaporisor, pass straight through the large jet of the vapour pilot flame. This we call the two-hose system with separate liquid and vapour hoses. This is a great system for flying in areas where the quality of the propane is low. The disadvantage of the two-hose system is that you require a master cylinder for each burner unit.

If you change your mind and want to move from a one-hose to a two-hose, or the other way, then the change over is simple.
