The UNICEF Project launch

The UNICEF Project launch

12. December 2013, 15:04

Last news from Andrew Parker:

I had a successful project launch on Sunday at Balmoral School in Auckland. We had 3 live broadcasts on national TV from the launch and it was covered by the NZ Herald also. The Director of UNICEF New Zealand was there along with other UNICEF staff, plus a number of guests and 150 children from Balmoral School in Auckland. The balloon has been certified and its first free-flight will be on Thursday. We will also be shooting a promo video that day for the project.

I will then get the balloon prepared to be shipped to Australia next month. We will be in Australia for around 6 weeks before the balloon is shipped to Malaysia. I am working with the organisers of both the Canberra and Malaysia balloon festivals. At this stage it will be possible to fly the balloon at both events. There will be 11 days to ship the balloon from Canberra to Kuala Lumpur.
